The first Russian Jet Air Race ever

The first Russian Jet Air Race Championship was held in the airfield “Kaluga-Oreshkovo” at the 9th  of August, 2021. 

There were 14 pilots from 8 regions: Moscow, Saint Petersburg, Moscow region, Tula region, Khabarovsk region, Tyumen region, Tver and Kaluga regions. One of all participants was a 43-year-old woman – Julia Krylova. The best of the best pilots revealed the strongest on the L-29 and L-39.

 Individual competition:

I – Anton Varekha (Moscow region), 47,17 sec

II – Vladimir Moskalenko (Kaluga region), 47, 84 sec

III – Yuri Kabanov (Kaluga region), 52,78 sec

Team competition:

I – Kaluga region with Vladimir Moskalenko, Vladimir Rodnischev, Yury Kabanov

II – Moscow Region with Anton Varekha, Alexey Ivanov, Vladimir Lisnyak

III – Tula region with Dmitry Motin, Julia Krylova, Vyacheslav Smolin
